Introduction to Permaculture at Pentiddy Woods

Please allow a little extra time to get to Pentiddy as it is down a bumpy track, or you need to walk through the community woodland and field.
Get there a little early if you’d like a drink before we start.

Course Information
This course runs over two days. Pentiddy Woods is a local Permaculture site, where you can experience permaculture in action and get to know it through a site tour and practical exercises.

What to bring
Please bring something to share for lunch
Sturdy boots
Clothes to keep you warm and dry in case of wet/cold weather
Sunscreen and hat in case of warm weather
A notebook and pens (some coloured pens are useful for the design exercise)

Course outline
day 1: Ethics, Principles: basic ecology, multiple functions, stacking, everything cycles/outputs - inputs,
day 2: Observation, zones, sectors, surveying, Design

Includes practicals and other outdoor activities where possible.
A short wild food walk is always included.
