Domestic renewable energy
For this project I was asked to do a feasibility study to see which renewable technologies might be appropriate for this setting. The site was an old farmhouse with two separate dwellings used for family visits. There was a swimming pool in a separate building with a lovely green roof.
I looked at the energy used: electricity and oil for heating and into the various options, inlcuding micro- or even pico hydro from an underground stream.
Wind was not an option, as the house was in a valley and the owner didn't want a turbine anyway.
