Teaching ecological principles at Plan-it Earth

The 2010 courses programme is being developed as we speak. Please get in touch or check back about specific dates and venues. More info about this course here.

I will be co-teaching a PDC over six weekends at Planit-Earth nr Penzance with Sarah Pugh and guest teachers Jay Abrahams of Biologic Design, and Lesley Bradley Peer, starting 15th & 16th May 2010, then every 3 weeks, but no course in August. See pictures from the Planit-Earth course 2009 below.

in February and March 2010 you can find me teaching Permaculture on the Sustainable Land Use course with Patrick Whitefield at Ragmans Lane Farm in Gloucestershire.

22 July - 5 August 2010 a 2 week residential design course at Keveral Farm, a long established permaculture project . My fellow teachers are: Bryn Thomas from Brighton Permaculture Trust and Bill Knight from Keveral.

20 - 29th August 2010: immersive Design course at The Village, and eco-village development in Ireland, organised by The Cultivate Centre, teaching with Graham Strouts of Kinsale's Practical Sustainability course and Albert Bates of The Farm. Bookings through Cultivate Centre.

Pentiddy's round house

Wattle and Daub, 12th & 13th June 2010 at Pentiddy, Pensilva near Liskeard, Cornwall.

We will be making a dry stone plinth, make hazel frames, weave them and daubing them with a sub-soil and straw mixture. These will form the walls of the Roundhouse (see picture on right).

You are welcome to attend on or two days, depending on how much hands-on experience you want to get of the different techniques.

Costs: 2-days £70 (concessions £50), 1-day £50 (concessions £35).
